Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ ใช้ซีพียูเป็น ARM Cortex-A53 ที่มีแกนประมวลผลจำนวน 4 แกน (Quad-Core) แต่ปรับเพิ่มความถี่ในการทำงานจาก 1.2 GHz เป็น 1.4 GHz ต่อแกน เป็นตัว BCM2837B0 แทน BCM2837 เดิม ที่มาพร้อมฝาครอบช่วยกระจายความร้อนตรงนี้เองมีส่วนช่วยทำให้รันความถี่สัญญาณนาฬิกาสูงขึ้นได้ไหวเนื่องจากความร้อนลดลง
